IF YOU DON'T MANUFACTURE CLOTHING ON-DEMAND, YOU ARE NOT SUSTAINABLE.
100 billion garments are produced each year and 30% of them are never sold.
That means 30 billion garments of unsold inventory go into landfills or are incinerated each year. And that's to say nothing of the water, dyes, CO2 and methane emissions, and transportation impact generated from producing this excess inventory.
It will only get worse. The solution is NO INVENTORY.
Each element of our platform enables brands, retailers and manufacturers to operate every aspect of their businesses on-demand, with no inventory and no impact from unsold product.
IF YOU CANNOT TRACE EACH STEP OF YOUR SUPPLY CHAIN DOWN TO THE UNIT LEVEL, YOU ARE NOT SUSTAINABLE.
We have created the ONE.code, a unique identifier that measures and verifies, via blockchain smart contracts, the amount of resources consumed at each step of the manufacturing process of an individual garment in real time. The scannable code, which is part of every garment we produce, tracks everything from the fabric mill certification, to the chemicals and water used, to the wages and working conditions of the person who sewed your clothes. ONE.code enables all of us to hold each other—brands, manufacturers, retailers, workers, consumers - accountable and responsible for the impact of the choices we all make.
Sustainability is not a final destination, it is a process and we are just at the beginning.
We are the one of the most sustainable manufacturing systems in existence today. Here is a snapshot of where we are in other elements of our journey:
To get started, email: email@example.com.
We only employ digital printing, which utilizes a fraction of the ink and water used in more traditional processes like batch-dyeing or screen printing
Our employees are paid above a living wage for the Zona Franca and have access to training opportunities for advancement
All materials are made of natural fibers and each is 95% biodegradable.
All materials in our process are printed after a customer order is placed. There are no unused rolls of pre-printed or pre-dyed fabric. No unused inventory of fabric.
We laser cut all pieces, which reduced fabric waste per garment by 8%.
We use Bluesign-certified chemicals in all of our processes, from pre-treatment to finishing. We intend to have all of our chemicals be Bluesign-certified or equivalent by the end of 2020
Our factory and certifications are up-to-date and transparent
